G-CAPP recently signed a community letter to Congressional appropriators outlining sex education requests for the final Fiscal Year 2012 Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education spending bill. This effort is to ensure that the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative and the HIV/STD Prevention Education at the Division of Adolescent School Health are fully funded and that there is no dedicated funding for failed abstinence-only-until-marriage programs in the final bill.
